This year marks the 30-year anniversary of Tampa Pro, an annual skateboarding competition hosted by Skate Park of Tampa in Florida. Over the years, this event has become a highly anticipated gathering among professional skaters and Olympians from all around the world. It's a chance for all these talented individuals to come together and show off their moves and compete for top prizes. This year was no different - the vibes were good, and everyone was hyped to be back in contest mode!

Tampa Pro Brings Together the Best Skaters in the World

We sent Daniel Rodriguez to represent SKNDL at this year’s event – he made sure to shake hands and kiss babies, which is what he does best! Best Trick winner turned out to be Daniel’s life-long friend, JP Souza, with a nollie heel front noseslide nollie big heel out – he made it look so easy! Felipe Gustavo was #1 qualifier straight shot to the finals. The finals were especially exciting – 1st place was awarded to Yuto Horigome coming all the way from Tokyo, Japan and leaving everyone with their jaws on the floor. Ultimately, it was an amazing event with incredible performances from some of the best skaters in the world. The skateboard industry is ever evolving, with new innovations, trends, and tricks coming out constantly.  That’s why events like Tampa Pro are so important – they give us a chance to celebrate our culture while also seeing what’s possible when we come together as a community and push ourselves further than ever before.

All in all, it was an amazing experience celebrating 30 years of Tampa Pro with skaters from all around the world. We can’t wait for next year’s event - it promises to be even bigger and better than ever before!
