Last month, a special event was held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Tech Deck finger skateboards. Skaters and Industry heads alike gathered at The Berrics in Los Angeles to show support and get their grind on! Not only was it an opportunity to show off their skills, but there was also cash up for grabs for those who went big. The whole SKNDL crew came out to support the event and cheer on the team members. Congratulations to Tech Deck for 25 years of success and here’s to the next 25 years!
By now, most people who skate know what a Tech Deck is, but for those unfamiliar, a Tech Deck is a miniature fingerboard that has been around for the past 25 years. It’s perfect for those who want to get into skateboarding without breaking the bank or taking too much risk. By starting small with Tech Deck, you can learn how to do tricks before jumping onto a full-sized board. Plus, it’s super portable so you can take it anywhere – from your bedroom floor to your local skatepark!
The whole SKNDL crew came out to support both SKNDL Skate Team members, Dorian Gray and Genesis Delagarza as they threw down some big tricks. With everyone cheering them on, they pushed themselves even further than they thought they could go! It was awesome seeing such resilience in these two kids despite being up against experienced veterans in the industry.
At this special event in LA, the referees were youth skaters aka the future of skateboarding, who were handing out cold hard cash to the skaters who went big and landed some impressive tricks. Genesis and Dorian both gave it their all and showed off their skills in front of some of the greats in the industry.
This event was truly something special – not just because it celebrated 25 years of success for Tech Deck but also because it highlighted what’s possible when young talent puts their skills together with determination. Congratulations again to all involved – especially SKNDL's own; Dorian Gray and Genesis Delagarza - and to everyone else who skated that day! Here’s to another successful 25 years from Tech Deck! Keep shredding it up!
